AZAJOY®, nominated for the Greenovation Award 2021, is a new category of Hortibreed NV that markets the product under the consumer label Hortinno®.
AZAJOY® is an answer on the most common question asked by the end user in the Hortinno® mailbox, namely ‘Can I plant my (indoor) azalea outdoors? Until today, the answer was ‘no’, because indoor azaleas aren’t winter hardy. AZAJOY® can resist a temperature of -8°c until -12°c (usda 8).
In contrast to the japonica, AZAJOY® has important advantages: the flowering period of at least 4 weeks is significantly longer. AZAJOY® is a pure azalea and therefore produces no brown scales. This makes AZAJOY® very clean in the house. AZAJOY® has a good leaf.
